Assunnah Islamic Centre Rebuild Project

We are embarking on a vital project to expand our mosque’s capacity and facilities to better serve the local community. The Rebuild Project will create a space that not only accommodates more worshippers but also provides improved accessibility and facilities for education, counseling, and community activities.

Accommodate up to 2,500 worshippers, ensuring ample space for all.

Upgrade Wudhu and toilet facilities, and create modern, accessible spaces for education, counseling, and community activities.

Foster a vibrant and inclusive community hub that promotes spiritual growth and social well-being.

Additionally, we are proud to have nurtured thousands of students through our educational programs. Some have gone on to study at prestigious Islamic universities in Saudi Arabia and Egypt, gaining advanced religious knowledge and returning to positively impact the Muslim community through leadership and service.

Moreover, our programs have helped develop model citizens who have pursued successful careers in various fields. These individuals have become upright members of society, contributing positively to both the Muslim community and the wider world.

1997

Founding of AIC Assunnah Islamic Centre (AIC) was established in 1997 by a group of dedicated Muslims with the aim of supporting the integration and growth of the newly arrived Muslim community in North London.

2003

Charity Registration and Expansion In May 2003, AIC was officially registered as a charity with the Charity Commission of England and Wales. That October, we relocated our headquarters to Tottenham. The following year, we hosted our inaugural summer conference, featuring multilingual community lectures, stalls, and activities.

2008

Building Acquisition In 2008, we successfully purchased the current center building for £1.15 million. This significant investment provided us with a dedicated space to serve our community more effectively and expand our programs.

2024

Current Status Today 2024, AIC is a thriving community center offering a wide range of services, including a Madrasah, primary school, and weekly classes. We are proud of our accomplishments and remain committed to serving the needs of our local Muslim community.

Our mission is to enrich the lives of our community members by offering a centre for Islamic worship, education, and community engagement. We provide spiritual guidance, educational programs, and a welcoming space for communal prayers and activities.
